Rare Beauty PR Campaign

Over the summer of 2021, my fellow interns and I created a PR plan for Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty. Our plan envisioned creating a mental health retreat surrounding Gomez’s passion for the subject and to combat the stigma behind makeup. Following the popular 54321 anti-anxiety technique, my group and I created a full-fledged PR campaign inclusive of our current competitors, target demographic, media and influencer retreat, a PR box, social campaign, and target outlets.

What started as a simple intern assignment turned into a passion project for telling stories about mental health, pop culture, and beauty.

Franchising the Magic Tree House

One of my first graduate classes, Understanding The Creative Industries, asked us to franchise something— a book, a podcast, Instagram account etc. My team chose to franchise the beloved children’s series, The Magic Treehouse. On top of coming up with advertising and merchandising concepts, I was tasked with being the team leader. I had so much fun working with my team and putting together a mini advertising campaign, designing merchandise, and creating a movie poster.

The Script rebrand

For my intro do Adobe Creative Cloud, my project was to rebrand any musician. I chose UK band, The Script. Along with a new logo, I designed a website, album cover, and a flyer for an upcoming show.

J&S Skincare

For my intro to HTML, CSS, and JS, my project was to create a functioning website. My partner and I created a skincare quiz website that gives users a customized skincare routine.

Dance Marathon

In November 2017, I served on the events team for Dance Marathon at Boston University. Dance Marathon is a fundraiser done across many high school and college campuses to raise money for the local children’s hospital. As the publicity and promotions chair, I redesigned the logo, created promotional material, and managed the social channels.
